Doctor Igor Svoboda established the Bloor Animal Hospital in the 1980’s. In 1994 Doctors John Catherwood and Sheldon Jafine purchased the practice. Dr. Karen Stekel and Vicki Lapratt head up an enthusiastic and caring team ready to respond to the growing needs of the Bloor West community and surrounding area.
The Bloor Animal Hospital has 4 veterinarians and 18 well educated support staff on duty with extended hour to serve the diverse needs of our clients and their pets.
We welcome new clients and old to come and tour through the hospital and meet the staff and doctors. We recently achieved the honour of meeting the exceptional standards of the American Animal Hospital Association. Our goal is to provide our clients and their pets with a hospital that combines dignity, respect and love with superior health care.
