The Beaches Animal Hospital was established in 1973 by Doctor Frisby as the only pet hospital in the Beach(es). Doctor Robert Wong-Pack purchased the practice in 1989 and moved to the current location on Queen Street East in 1994. In 1999, the practice was amalgamated with the group of hospitals owned by Doctors Catherwood and Jafine. Dr. Mark Dilworth joined Beaches in 2005 as a Practitioner and became a Partner in 2006. The hospital currently has 3 doctors and 20 support staff.
